Established in 2011, the Edmonton Ultimate Players Association (EUPA) is a not-for-profit organization devoted to promoting the sport of Ultimate. In particular we are working hard to grow the sport amongst youth. Ultimate frisbee is a low cost and easy sport that, once students learn it, they can play with simply a frisbee and runners. It's a fun, inclusive game that is competitive and fair. Spirit of the Game (SOTG) is a defining aspect of the sport with the onus of honorable play resting with players instead of referees. This makes Ultimate a great way to teach important values such as fair play, effective conflict resolution, responsibility, and integrity in your classroom.
Ultimate Frisbee is a growing sport. We have gone into over 200 different schools from K-12 teaching the sport but we also realized that students will only grow to love the sport if they are exposed to it more. By giving teachers the tool they need to teach to their class we know the sport will grow.
Ultimate is also a game that is incredibly inclusive. We see many times that students that are athletic but don't really do the mainstream sports, fall in love with this sport and participate in the session fully. Through the spirit of the game rule, ultimate also teaches fair play, conflict resolution and sportsmanship. We do not have referees, instead we rely on the players to be honest and accountable towards each other.
We offer full days at $325.00/per day or half days for $175.00. We have lessons for Kindergarten to Grade 12 that is fun and engaging!
