EUPA Youth Cohort League Interest Form

With the current provincial COVID-19 guidelines for sport, the EUPA youth committee is gauging interest in youth ultimate frisbee programming. We want to give youth an inclusive, low-cost and most of all, safe cohort to learn and enjoy ultimate frisbee.

If you are interested in participating in youth programming under a cohort structure, please let us know through this form.

Cohort Information and Structure

The June 12 Provincial Guidelines for Organized Sports allow for sports to happen without physical distancing or masks being used if kept within strict cohorts of maximum 50 players. As such, we are looking to run smaller format leagues keeping within cohorts of 50 with a number of precautions in place. In these leagues, we would assign players between four teams and regularly shuffle players between teams within a cohort.

Participation in only one sports cohort at a time is allowed, and a 2 week isolation from sports cohorts is required to switch sports cohorts. While masks and physical distancing are not required for cohort members while playing, whenever not playing (e.g. when on the sideline, putting on cleats, etc.) physical distancing of 2m should still be observed. Shared points of contact will be limited, and measures will be in place to regularly sanitize discs that must be shared.

Our adult cohort leagues are an example of this structure and precautions. You can find full information about the league organization and precautions at https://eupa.ca/leagues/summer-leagues.

For youth cohort leagues, program fees will be finalized when registration details are made available, however, as with all EUPA youth programming, it will strive to be as affordable as possible.

The EUPA Youth Committee will review expressions of interest from the community and contact parents via the email link provided when a registration opening is planned, or otherwise appropriate. EUPA's first priority is the health and safety of our membership; all decisions will be made with this in mind. Please contact us at juniors@eupa.ca if you have any questions.
