Flurry - Women's Ultimate
It is our mission to develop a program that fosters the growth of individual skill, teamwork, fitness and leadership for female athletes in the game of Ultimate.
We strive to build the capacity for stronger Edmonton women’s teams in the pursuit of becoming an established competitor at the Regional and National level.
This summer marks Flurry's 7th season! If you are a woman aged 18 or older who is looking to get more touches on the disc, interested in developing your ultimate skills, keen on playing a higher level of ultimate, and eager to meet awesome women who love ultimate, Flurry is the right team for you.
Our team will compete against the best women's teams in Canada leading up to and at CUCs this year and we want to have a good showing at Nationals on our home turf. This means the team will be steering towards a more competitive atmosphere than in previous seasons.
We will be tapping into team member strengths and experience to make Flurry the best we can be for 2019. There are many goals for the season, but some big ones are:
- Increased level of competitiveness.
- Through player development, improve every player’s individual skill level, including knowledge of the game.
- Utilize individual strengths to build effective team strategies. Every player on the roster is a valuable part of the team, though playing time will not be equal.
- Player commitment to the team, commitment to your body, and commitment to learning throughout the season.
