2021 Summer Leagues

We miss playing, but we want to make sure we return in a safe manner. Covid-19 leaves us with many uncertainties, so we are running two sessions of summer programming to adapt to the public health situation (May-June and July-August).

All leagues may be subject to change due to what registrations and public health regulations allow. In the case of a delayed league start due to public health regulations, we will issue prorated refunds.

Update April 9: Extended early bird registration for Session 1! After the April 6 updates to public health guidelines, we’re extending early bird registration! Early bird pricing will stay in effect until the day after an announcement allowing adult recreational sports.

Session 1 (May 3 to July 1)

  • Registration opens Monday March 22. Session 1 goes May 3 to July 1.
  • Games will start one week after an announcement allowing adult recreational sports under public health restrictions.
  • Session 1 will be cancelled if adult recreational sports are not allowed by June 7. Prorated or full refunds will be issued in the case of a late start or league cancellation cancellation.
  • Update: Extended early bird! Registration is open and early bird pricing is in effect until the day after an announcement that adult recreational sports are allowed.

If you’ve missed all your favourite frisbee friends and can’t wait to play with them again, check out our 5v5 team league on Mondays and Wednesdays! Sign up as a team of up to 12 players (or as an individual looking for a team). If you want to meet new teammates and mix it up, sign up for our 5v5 hat league on Tuesday and Thursday! Sign up as an individual or with a couple buddies and we will make the teams in this league. If you are new to ultimate and don’t have a team, we recommend signing up for our hat league. All cohorts are mixed gender, and will be tiered by desired level of competition as registrations allow.

Session 1 of our summer cohort leagues will start on May 3 or one week after the Government of Alberta announces that adult recreational sports are allowed, whichever is later. Under the current Government of Alberta’s plan, adult recreational sports will be allowable under Step 3 of easing restrictions.

If adult recreational sports are not allowed by June 7 (for a June 14 start), Session 1 will be cancelled and we will issue full refunds. If we have a delayed start, Session 1 will still end on July 1 and registrants will receive a refund that is prorated for the time missed.

With this update to public health restrictions, we are extending early bird pricing! Early bird pricing will stay in effect until the day after an announcement allowing adult recreational sports.
