Summer Leagues

All EUPA programming is currently suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We’re discussing what impacts COVID-19 will have on our summer leagues. Sign up to our mailing list to make sure you don’t miss updated league details and registration information.

All league details are subject to change on short notice.

Sign up to play mixed gender Ultimate in a team-based, recreational environment! The only way you can't have a good time is if you don't sign up! If you have any questions, email admin@eupa.ca.

Our different summer leagues:

TUESDAY 5v5 LEAGUE

  • Who: This league is suitable for all levels of experience (teams will be placed in divisions to create closely matched games).
  • When: Tuesday nights May 5 to August 25 (17 weeks).
  • Time: 7:00 to 9:00pm.
  • Where: Various fields around the city.
  • League Format:
    • 5v5 mixed league (max 3 players of the same gender on at a time).
    • Team-based registration.
    • 11th Edition rules with reduced number of players and field size (30 yards by 80 yards including 15-yard endzones). Pulls and subs between points.
    • Teams will be put into initial divisions based on average team skill level and will be re-tiered regularly.
    • One timed 90-minute game per week.
    • Playoffs and consolation-ranking games will take place over the last 3 weeks of league.
  • Cost: $100+GST/player.
    • Includes league registration and a 2020 EUPA disc.
    • A valid 2020 Membership ($8) is required to register in this league.
    • Late registrations will be subject to an additional $10 "stall 9 hammer" fee.
  • Registration: Stay tuned for registration information.

WEDNESDAY BEGINNER LEAGUES

  • Who: These leagues are well suited for recreational players and those who are new to the sport. League nights will feature guided skill and strategy development from EUPA Community Ambassadors before games.
  • When: Wednesday nights (split into two sessions).
    • Session 1: May 6 to June 24 (8 weeks).
    • Session 2: July 1 to August 26 (9 weeks).
  • Time: 7:00 to 9:00pm.
  • Where: Kaskitayo Sports Park (19 Ave & 109 St).
  • League Format:
    • 5v5 mixed league (max 3 players of the same gender on at a time).
    • Individual- or team-based registration.
    • 11th Edition rules with reduced number of players and field size (30 yards by 80 yards including 15-yard endzones). Pulls and subs between points.
    • Teams will have EUPA Community Ambassadors as player-coaches.
    • Each night will feature dedicated time to warm up, half an hour of practice coached by EUPA Community Ambassadors, and a 60 minute timed game.
    • Late registrations will be subject to an additional $10 "stall 9 hammer" fee.
  • Cost: $50+GST/player each session ($80+GST/player for both sessions).
    • Includes league registration and a 2020 EUPA disc.
    • A valid 2020 Membership ($8) is required to register in this league.
  • Registration: Stay tuned for registration information.

THURSDAY 7v7 LEAGUE

  • Who: This league is suitable for all levels of experience (teams will be placed in divisions to create closely matched games).
  • When: Thursday nights May 7 to August 27 (17 weeks).
  • Time: 7:00 to 9:00pm.
  • Where: Various fields around the city.
  • League Format:
    • 7v7 mixed league (max 4 players of the same gender on at a time).
    • Team-based registration.
    • 11th Edition rules. Pulls and subs between points.
    • Teams will be put into initial divisions based on average team skill level and will be re-tiered regularly.
    • One game per week, played to 15 points or 9:00 p.m. (whichever is first).
    • Playoffs and consolation-ranking games will take place over the last 3 weeks of league.
  • Cost: $100+GST/player.
    • Includes league registration and a 2020 EUPA disc.
    • A valid 2020 Membership ($8) is required to register in this league.
    • Late registrations will be subject to an additional $10 "stall 9 hammer" fee.
  • Registration: Stay tuned for registration information.
