Edmonton Womens Ultimate
Are you interested in playing ultimate with a bunch of fun and talented women? Then we want you!
Edmonton Women’s Ultimate (EWU) is a group of women that travel to various tournaments representing the city of Edmonton. Our goal is to create a fun and challenging environment where women can develop their ultimate skills to become competitive team players. We also want to produce teachers and leaders for Edmonton ultimate as a whole.
If you are interested in being part of this group, please attend the information meeting and join our practices.
Information Meeting
When: Thursday, April 15, 2010
Time: 7pm
Where: U of A Student Union Building (SUB) – conversation area near south entrance (look for Lindsey or Vanessa - or some gals with frisbees!)
*If you can't make it to the meeting but are interested in playing, please let us know so that we can keep you in the loop!
Practices
- Wednesdays, 7-9pm at Kaskitayo fields starting April 28
- Saturday afternoons (non-tournament weekends), time & location TBA
We encourage players to:
- Commit! We believe that practicing together will make us a stronger team so please try to attend the majority of practices (which will run on Wednesday nights, as well as some Saturdays)
- Work and play hard at practice
- Take your mad frisbee skills and spirit back to your league teams and spread the love
Touring
We would like to attend the following tournaments:
- Flowerbowl - June 5 & 6, Vancouver
- Flatland – July, Winnipeg (possibly)
